ThermoAnalytics, Inc. (TAI), a leading provider of thermal and infrared simulation software and services, seeks an Office Assistant to join their team in Calumet, Michigan. This is a 30-hour per week hybrid position at our headquarters located next to the Houghton County Airport.
As a member of the TAI team, the Office Assistant has a diverse range of responsibilities, blending human resources duties with facilities administration tasks, playing a vital clerical role in supporting various projects and processes within the company, while being an integral part of the Human Resources and Facilities Department.
Being open to learning and possessing an interest in a wide range of subjects will be your best skills.
WHAT WE OFFER.
- $20.00 – $25.00 per hour starting pay based on your knowledge and experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.
Assist the Human Resources & Facilities Department with various tasks as needed to support the team, including but not limited to shipping/mail pickup, handling HR & Facilities ticketing requests, data entry, organizing records, documenting processes, being backup personnel for various tasks, planning luncheons, restoring meeting area order, supporting well-being events, promoting company culture, and coordinating travel arrangements.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- Someone who thoroughly enjoys working with people and has at least 2 years’ experience working in a professional office setting.
- Positivity is a priority.
- Someone who thrives in a team environment.
- Organization, time-management, and attention to detail are key required skills.
- You are dependable and enjoy solving problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills able to interact with a variety of people and personalities.
- Proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook email, calendar) is required.
- Previous payroll or account balancing experience is a plus.
- Desire to learn new skills and software tools.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel (locally or to other office locations) is required.
- To conform to U.S. Government regulations, applicants must be a United States citizen or a lawful permanent resident of the United States. Final candidates may be required to undergo a thorough background check, credit check and/or drug screen.
